Down Masters looking for new members - 06/01/2004

Down Masters (over 40’s) football team, are looking for new faces for the next league season, which will start April 04. They shall join last year’s squad, along with a number of ex-county and all Ireland players.

To be eligible to join this group a man must be at least 40 years of age at any time before 31/12/04 and be willing to participate in some light pre-season training, at least once a week.

So if you are pondering whether or not to take the plunge, don’t, just phone the numbers below to register your interest, and receive details of how we plan to proceed. A first meeting of players will be held after he middle of January.
Provisional format of the league is as follows. (This will be finalized in January)

? League run on a county by county basis.
? Approximately 16 counties will take part.
? Ref’s supplied and paid by Croke Park.
? Matches usually played Saturday afternoon.
? Last year winner, Donegal. Runner up, Dublin.
