Down have had Dan McCartan and Aidan Fegan (Both Queen's) named on the 2004 Universities Combined Team, while reigning Sigerson Cup champions Sligo, who defeated Queen's in the Sigerson Final in Belfast have been honoured for their success when they had seven players named.

The players will be awared their combined Jerseys at the National League Final in May - Both Down players Dan McCartan (Injured) and Aidan Fegan are involved in the Down set up for the Div 2 National League Final - the only two from the whole 15 that will be involved on the teams playing that day.
