Impressive win for Down Hurlers in Ballycran
 
 
As expected Down senior hurlers cruised to victory and a top of the table position with this impressive win over Roscommon in the Christy Ring Cup competition at Ballycran.

In a one sided match the homesters won easily in the end by 5-25 to 2-8, after leading at the interval by 2-12 to 2-4.

Down with the wind at their backs in the second-half literally dominated proceedings and went on to record an convincing victory and now look well on their way to a semi-final spot in the competition.

Down - Graham Clarke; L. Clarke, S. Murray, C. Coulter 0-1; Gabriel Clarke, G. Savage, S. Wilson 0-2; G. Adair 1-0, A. Savage 1-1; E. Clarke 0-2, P. Braniff 1-3, B. McGourty 0-3; M. Coulter 1-6, 0-6 from frees, Gareth Johnston 0-3, S. Clarke 1-2.
