U21 have impressive win over Westmeath - 21/02/03

Down 3-16 Westmeath 3-10 @ Annsborough

The Down under-21 football side continued their build-up to the forthcoming Ulster championship with an impressive 3-16 to 3-10 win over Westmeath in Annsborough. Manager Gerry Dougherty gave a run-out to all the panel members and must have been satisfied with the result. Two further challenge games have been arranged for this weekend.

To-morrow they play Dublin at the Swords venue, while on Sunday they play Derry at a South Derry venue. The seven members on the senior panel will be available for these games.

While the senior side take on Queens in Castlewellan on Sunday.
