Earlier in the week St. Louis defeated Our Lady's and St. Patrick's College of Knock, Belfast. Played in excellent conditions on St. Patrick's Park Newcastle, the Kilkeel team were always in control. However, some periods of poor concentration allowed the Belfast school in to score some goals, which gave the St. Louis coach Steven McVeigh some cause for concern.

St. Louis attack was highly impressive in ensuring a Mourne victory as Patrick Bourke scored two goals and the impressive Martin Clarke notched up eight points.
