Two Down Players included in Coca-Cola International Rules panel - 06/08/03

The Coca-Cola International Rules team manager John O’Keefe has announced the provisional panel of players to travel to Australia for next October's series against the Aussies, which includes two Down players: Dan Gordon and Brendan Coulter.

Sixty-six players from 24 counties have been included in the list of names, while Kerry native and Aussie Rules professional Tadhg Kennelly is also named in the squad.

The team will play in the first test at the Subiaco Oval in Perth on Friday October 24th, while the 2nd test will be at the MCG in Melbourne a week later on the 31st October.

Australia won last year’s series in Ireland on an aggregate score of 107 to 100.

The Tour Manager will be Jimmy Dunne of Wicklow while Donegal’s Naul McCole will act as Assistant Tour Manager.
