Harp today announced another
year of sponsorship for the Down Senior Club Championship
at a press conference at Clonduff GAA Clubrooms.
Speaking
at the launch Harp representative Conor O’Keefe
stated; “In recent years Harp has enjoyed
a highly successful relationship with the Down
Senior Club Championship. As we embark on another
year of the sponsorship, we hope for more of the
same.
“Club
football in Down is strengthening every year,
with the senior clubs producing a great number
of county level players. Club football is a fundamental
part of community life throughout Down. Harp aims
to strengthen and develop this through its support
of the club championship. We wish all the participating
clubs and their fans the very best of luck.”
Down County
Chairman Eamon O’Toole added; “The
support of Harp has been invaluable to our Senior
Championship. Their sponsorship has brought a
great boost to the competition and helped to increase
the profile of the championship both locally and
nationally. This year’s championship already
looks like a great competition and I am sure will
provide some very memorable games, with each team
hoping that they can dethrone current champions
Bryansford!”
The first
round of the Harp Down Senior Club Championship
takes place on Thursday 5th August 2004.
ENDS.
