With just three games to be played by most clubs to complete their
league programme, the scramble for points to make the play-offs and to
avoid relegation is still to be decided.
In Division 1, Rostrevor are still in pole position after their 1-9 to
0-7 win over Bryansford – a dress rehearsal for their forthcoming SFC
quarter-final clash. The Rostrevor lead at the top of the table has been
cut to two points by holders, Mayobridge who accounted for Castlewellan
on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-5.
Clonduff put their dismal championship defeat behind them as they went
to Kilcoo and came away 2-15 to 1-6 winners, to remain in third spot in
the table, one point ahead of Liatroim who overcame Longstone by a
point.
Battle at the bottom of the table
The battle at the bottom of the table saw An Riocht overcome
Ballyholland by two points – both remain in deep trouble at the wrong
end of the table. In fact, Ballyholland could be staring an automatic
relegation if they fail to obtain some points from their three remaining
league games. Burren, remain third from bottom, despite their good win
over Shamrocks. Longstone complete the bottom four.
