Hogan Cup Semi Final: Abbey CBS 1-10 1-8 Macroom

Abbey CBS are through to their first Hogan Cup decider after Saturday's semi-final victory over Munster side De La Salle Macroom in Carlow.

A David Goold goal helped Macroom into an early lead but Abbey hit back and it was level at 0-6 to 1-3 at the break.

Abbey made a superb start to the second half and Cathal Magee's goal sent them five points clear.

Macroom rallied but the Newry team held on to secure a meeting with St Pat's of Navan in the decider.

Centre back Kevin Dyas was among the top performers for Abbey with two points.
