Down Supporters Club AGM - New Officers

The following officers were elected at the Down Supporters club Annual General Meeting held last Thursday night in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry.

Vice Secretary:                     Liam Mulholland

Treasurer:                              Hugh John Harper

Assistant Treasurer:             Joe Hughes

Additional Members:            Marie Greenan, Sheena McGovern, John Magee, Seamus McCaffrey, John Dillon, Seamus Morgan, Dominic Magee, Mark Maginn and Martin Murphy.

Special presentations were made to Loughinisland Clubman, Alan Molloy in recognition of his ten years service to the Down Senior Team and to Noel Haughey and John McCarthy who managed the Down U-16 Ladies to All-Ireland success against Roscommon in the All-Ireland (B) Final and to Kitty Fegan and Lillian Tinnelly who managed Down Minor Ladies to All-Ireland success against Antrim in the All-Ireland Minor (B) Camogie Final.

Last year the supporters club raised over £10,000 for the Down County Board Training Fund and they are hoping to build on that success this year.
