Ulster Minor Camogie Championship

DOWN 7-13 TYRONE 0-0

Played in blistering heat at Madden Co Armagh the scoreline could have been double this only for the outstanding goalkeeping of Tyrone's Michela Moss. Down's forwards scored at easy in the 1st half with the ball rarely passing the half-way line. Joanne Fitzpatrick got 3 pts with Karen Tinnelly & Lisa Hughes getting 1 each and Lisa McPolin netting for Down to leave the score 1-5 to no score at the break. But for this under strength Tyrone team it was all over within 3mins of the restart as Joanne Fitzpatrick the Lisa Hughes (2) got goals for the mourne county. further points were added before Sarah Louise Carr dropped a 45 into the square area which was tounched in by Aveen O'Neill. Captain Carinna Cunningham got on the scoresheet with a point then a goal. Other scores of this half came from Sarah Louise Carr 1-4 Lisa McPolin 0-1 Joanne Fitzpatrick another point.

Down are grouped with Tyrone & Derry in their All-Ireland campaign both of which they have beaten this season so should be hopeful of progression to the knock-out stages.
