Meanwhile,
matters are getting extremely interesting in Group
2A. Antrim, London and Down are all on four points
but Antrim have played one game more than the other
two sides.
Antrim had an
impressive 3-12 to 0-13 win against Meath at the
weekend while Down defeated Roscommon by 3-21 to
0-12.
The game
between Antrim and London now on July 8th will be
crucial. If Antrim lose they will be out of the
competition. They know they won’t have it that easy
either because London gave them a real run for their
money in the Ulster quarter-final.
If London
lose, they still won’t be out of the competition but
they will more than likely have to defeat Down a
week later to be in with a chance of a semi-final
spot.
Although
Antrim have hit form in their last two games, Down
have been in very impressive scoring form so far in
this competition. In their opening two matches, they
have racked up 4-44. |
