This
Ulster Council competition is unique in
that the teams contesting are composed
of entirely Foreign Nationals travelling
from as far a field as Donegal, Derry,
Craigavon, Cavan and Newry.
In the
previous finals in January, all teams
displayed an array of skill, speed and
talent and from its success, another
tournament has been arranged. It is
hoped that more Foreign Nationals will
participate in Gaelic Games at club
level across Ulster.
The
event was organised after the success of
the ‘have a go’ evenings for ethnic
minority groups run across Ulster over
the autumn and winter run by Regional
Development officers Diarmaid Marsden,
Paul Callaghan and Una McKay. The
events were staged in Dungannon, Newry,
Letterkenny, Strabane, Monaghan and
Newry.
Coaching
evenings have continued with the
Regional Development officers across the
province. The Ulster top town event will
be hosted on April 21st at
11am in the Mid Ulster Arena, Cookstown.
Any club/company interested in this fun
initiative please respond.
