SFC: Longstone v Drumgath

Drumgath the reigning Down intermediate champions turned in an excellent opening half in this Powerade Down SFC at Newry on Sunday, 12th of August and were level at the break 1-4 to 0-7 – their goal coming from a converted penalty from Mark Brannigan.

However, Longstone upped their performance in the second-half and thanks to two goals midway through the half by Stevie Doran they ran out convincing winners in the end by 2-17 to 1-5.

Scorers for Longstone were – B. Doran 0-9, S. Doran 2-0, M. Poland 0-5, R. Kelly, M. Doran and A. Rodgers 0-1 apiece.

Drumgath marksmen were – M. Brannigan 1-0, D. McCabe 0-2, P. Hynds 0-3.
