Down voice concern on players grant scheme
 

A statement issued following Sunday’s county convention in Castlewellan read:

"The Down county convention expresses its opposition to the Irish Sports Council-funded GAA players grants scheme and has deep concerns about recent developments.

Convention further welcomed the decision of Ard Chomhairle to call for a full debate on the future status of Rule 11."
