Down CCC held a meeting after county convention to decide on format of Division 3 in 2008 Football Leagues.

After recommendations from Ulster Appeals and Central Appeals it has been decided that Div 3 will have 13 teams for one season with 3 teams being relegated at end of the season Competition rules will be amended to reflect this situation and will be with clubs early in new year for ratification by county board.
