A special visit by leading Irish trainer
Willie Mullins proved a winner for many in the Pavilion who heeded his
advice to back his runner Temlett in the major race against the favourite,
last-year’s winner Kempes, and the much fancied Song of Hiawatha, ridden
by Kieron Fallon. There were plenty of smiles around the Club Down tables
as young jockey Chris Hayes claimed his biggest ever success, steering
home Temlett at 5-1.
There were plenty of other winners too as
the Raceday and raffle prizes brought a great day’s sport and
entertainment to an end. The winners were:
