Cumann na mBunscol an Dúin launch their own website.

Cumann na mBunscol an Dúin
have just launched their own website to
ensure that teachers, coaches, parents and
school children can readily access all information
about their annual activities. As well as
reporting on every event and giving timely
warning about pending activities, there
will be competitions for the children in
our local primary schools and pen pictures
of GAA stars.
Links with other GAA sites
will be maintained as will correspondence
with all interested parties. A calendar
of events will be available and the monthly
Nuacht ( Newsletter ) as is issued to all
schools and coaches. An editorial committee
has been established and all in Cumann na
mBunscol an Dúin are quite excited
about this method of publishing the tremendous
work undertaken by the teachers, coaches
and pupils in the participating primary
schools.
At the launch, Mr Collie
Bell, Cathaoirleach Cumann na mBunscol an
Dúin, warmly welcomed this initiative
which he felt would do much to achieve our
aims of fostering Gaelic games and culture
in our primary schools. He reminded us how
last year our association was acknowledged
for its outstanding work in the area of
public relations when it was cited as the
best in all Ireland at the annual Cumann
na mBunscol Naisiunta awards.
This website is a natural
progression of these activities and is a
most appropriate extension of our work.
He congratulated the Editorial Committee
of Paddy Hardy Leas Cahtaoirleach, Michael
Hanly, Runai and Paddy Campbell PRO for
their efforts in organising this. He also
appreciated the endeavours of Adrian McLean
Managing Director of Expect IT who designed
the website and undertook training of the
personnel involved in the project.
