AR FUD AN CHONTAE :: AROUND THE COUNTY
DEVELOPMENTS: JUNE, 2007 - JUNE 2008


01 ACHADH DEARG/BAILE AN MHEIRLIGH :: AGHADERG/BALLYVARLEY The very fine Juvenile/Training pitch has been completed. Prefab Dressing Rooms are located at the new pitch.
Following a major upgrade, this Ground presents a very tidy appearance.

02 AN RIOCHT (PAIRC NA RIOCHTA)
The Covered Terracing has been extended to provide excellent accommo¬dation for patrons.
The Club has purchased, c. 5 acres of land adjacent to the Main pitch.

03 ANNACLONE (PAIRC NA nGAEL)
A Digital Scoreboard and fine Ball-Stop Nets have been installed.
The Embankment on the Road Side has been removed, allowing for addition¬al car-parking space ..
A fine Enclosure Fence is currently under construction.

04 ATTICALL (PAIRC NA CROISE NAOFA)
Good progress has been made on the construction of an impressive new Club Complex located between the two playing pitches.
The Car-Park beside the 'LOW' PITCH has been tarmaced.

05 BALLYCRAN (PAIRC MHIC CHIONNA)
An outdoors Fitness Station has been developed alongside the Hurling Alley.

06 BALLYHOLLAND (PAIRC UI LOINGSIGH)
The excellent Covered Stand, seating 450 -500 patrons, has been completed.
A new pitch Enclosure Fence is currently under construction. The Car-Park has been tarmaced and marked out.

07 BALLYMARTIN (PAIRC COIS NA FHAIRAIGE)
The Car-Park has been tarmaced.

08 BRIGHT (BREACHTAN)
An excellent pitch Enclosure Fence, on a concrete base, has been installed.

09 CARRYDUFF (CEATHRU AODHA DHUIBH)
An excellent pitch Enclosure Fence has been completed.

10 DARRAGH CROSS (NAOMH MOCHAI)
The old team Dug-Outs have been removed.
A new Entrance to the Ground (cut-stone) is currently under construction.

11 DOWNPATRICK (PAIRC THOMAIS RUISEIL)
A powerful new Floodlighting System has been installed at the Second pitch.

12 GLENN (PAIRC SHEAIN MHAIRTIN)
The old team Dug-Outs have been removed and the new Enclosure Fence, on a concrete base, presents a tidy appearance.

13 KILCOO (PAIRC EOGHAIN RUA)
A Fitness Suite is housed in a prefab structure.

14 LIATROIM (PAIRC FONTENOY)
New perspex/aluminium team Dug-Outs have been installed. Work on the upgrading of this Ground is nearing completion.


15 LONGSTONE (PAIRC CHLOCH FHADA)
The old team Dug-Outs have been removed and a new Terrace has been constructed on that side of the field.
The excellent Club Complex has been freshly painted and the Ground, officially opened 50 years ago, presents a very impressive appearance, indeed.

16 LOUGHINISLAND (PAIRC MHIC ARTAIN)
A substantial extension is currently under construction at the very impressive new Club Complex.

17 MAYOBRIDGE (PAIRC NAOIMH PHADRAIG)
The newly developed second playing pitch and training/juvenile area are very impressive.

18 PORTAFERRY (PAIRC NAOIMH PHADRAIG)
The expansive new Hurling Alley has been completed.
A major extension to the Clubrooms is currently under construction.

19 ROSTREVOR (CAISLEAN RUAIRI)
The Club has purchased c. 13 acres (off the Kilbroney Road) for the development of two playing pitches.

20. SAUL (SABHALL PHADRAIG)
The Club has decided to purchase the Parochial Hall which is located near the Club's Ground.

21 ST. JOHN'S (PAIRC NAOIMH EOIN)
An excellent new Entrance Gate, bearing the name of the Club -
"Naomh Eoin Drum ha Coille C.L.G." - and Club Crest, has been installed. Toilets for spectators have been upgraded.
The new Playing Field is accessed by a concreted roadway which crosses a bridge constructed over the Moneycarragh River and sweeps along the rear of the Poplar Trees (a hallmark of this very fine Club Complex). The New Field is very impressive including an excellent enclosure fence on a concrete base, provision for Ball-Stop Nets and ducting for Floodlights.
The boundary fencing and landscaping (including stiles for retrieving the ball) present a very neat appearance.
This is a gem of a Playing Field which displays enormous attention to detail and quality assurance in its planning and development.

22 TULLYLISH (PAIRC NA nOG)
Work is underway on the construction of additional Dressing Rooms.
