The
East Down GAA Scór board are currently
organising a number of events and outings
to promote the culture and celebrate the music,
dance and drama of Ireland.
Scór sinsear is about to commence in
East Down with both semi finals taking place
this weekend. Details are highlighted below:
The first semi-final will take place on Friday
8th February at 7.30pm in Saint Columbian’s
Parochial Hall, Teconnaught- the following
clubs are to compete:
Ballycran, Castlewellan, Drumaness, Downpatrick
(RGU), Kilcoo (A), Saul, St. John's and Teconnaught
The second semi-final will take place two
days later on Sunday 10th February at 6.30pm
in St. Aquina's Parochial Hall, Dundrum with
the following clubs competiting:
Aughlisnafin, Ballykinlar, Carryduff, Dundrum,
Dromara, Kilcoo (B), Liatroim and Loughinisland
All clubs must attend the venue they have
been assigned to and if there are any problems
to contact East Down Scór Chairman,
Brian Kennedy on 07977425104. All registration
forms will be available at the first round
and must be returned to the East Down Scór
board on the night of the competition.
This year promises to be another great competition
with a total of 16 club entries. The board
are hoping from similar success after 3 East
Down Clubs reached the Ulster final in Scór
na nÓg. Best wishes to all clubs who
are taking part.
The East Down final will take place on Sunday
24th February in St. Malachy’s High
School, Castlewellan with the County final
taking place the following week, Sunday 2nd
March in the same venue.
