Down’s senior camogie side travel
to Ballyholland this Sunday to take on Offaly
with the intent of putting their heavy defeat
at the hands of Clare in their last outing
behind them.
Offaly’s surprise win over Antrim
recently came as welcome news for the Mourne
County as it throws the group wide open
and gives them every chance of progressing
aas long as they beat the Faithful Ladies
this weekend.
Following their 24-point defeat at the
hands of Clare, team mentor Joe Baldwin
believes that the team will be out to put
in a strong display in Ballyholland on Sunday.
"The girls have worked hard and the
manner of the defeat to Clare has hurt them.
The best way we can avenge that is to go
out on Sunday and play as we know we can,"
said Baldwin.
