Down eased to victory in
their opening Christy Ring Cup encounter at
a windy Ruislip on Sunday.
The Exiles enjoyed the wind
advantage in the first half but the Mourne
men dominated and despite Mark Mythen's goal
they led 0-11 to 1-6 at the break.
Six unanswered points at
the start of the second half put Down clear.
Ian Walsh netted for London's
second goal but the visitors were always in
control and substitute Gareth Johnston hit
1-2 in the final six minutes.
