Sloan leaves Fermanagh slumped
17 March 2008
South Down ace Ciaran Sloan notched 2-10 as
his side romped to an emphatic 6-18 to 0-8 win
in a top NHL Division Four clash at Pairc Niamh
Ballela.
Sloan was on fire and repeate
his 2-10 tally last time out against Cavan as
the Ernemen were well and truly bowled over.
The Mournemen had the ball
in the Fermanagh net after just two minutes
when Thomas Jennings fired home.
It was a lead Jennings and Co. never looked
like relinquishing thereafter even though Fermanagh
tried everything in their locker to arrest the
situation.
Fermanagh were given a window
of opportunity five minutes into the second
half when South Down defender Alan Higgins picked
up his second yellow card but it failed to ignite
a Fermanagh renaissance.
