Down sides dominate Antrim senior hurling league - 30/07/2003

 

portaferryThe Antrim clubs without their county players, got on with the club league last weekend to help determine champions and relegation candidates. The Co. Down teams involved were all at full strength however, and Ballycran made the most of their opportunity against Rossa. They defeated the Belfast side 4-14 to 3-11.

Champions Portaferry look set to complete a league double. They chalked up two more league points defeating Ballygalget on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-9. A goal from Niall Magee saw them go to the top of Section A. Down county star Johnny McGrattan scored the Ballygalget goal.
