Hurling Convention - 13/12/02

The Down Hurling Convention which took place on Monday evening in Downpatrick was a very tame affair with all outgoing officers being returned unopposed for another season.

In the case of the Chairman and PRO these positions will be appointed by the County Committee and will be announced after this Sunday's County Convention.

The hurling leagues have still to be completed. With so many games unplayed the decision to play-off the top four games for league honours sees Ballyvarley and Clonduff, the JHC winners, meet in the final at Ballykinlar on Sunday.
