The hurling fraternity in the county will celebrate
a historic year on Friday night week with a
special awards dinner in the Canal Court Hotel,
Newry.
The senior hurlers, who made history by winning
the NHL Division 2 title for the first time,
the U-21 hurlers, who retained the Ulster title,
and the junior hurlers, who won the provincial
crown and were narrowly beaten by Meath in the
All-Ireland final, will receive their trophies.
Michael Greenan, the Ulster Council President,
Ulster secretary Danny Murphy and Tom Daly,
chairman of the Ulster Council Hurling Committee,
will be the special guests at the function.
