Hurlers stick to winning ways for Wicklow game
NHL Div 2 Play Off's: Wicklow v Down - Pearse Park Sunday 18th April 2004

Down hurlers will field the same team which had an impressive 11 points win over Kerry last week-end for their NHL Division 2 (section one) clash against Wicklow at Pearse Park, Wicklow on Sunday 18th April.

The Mournemen travel south on Saturday with an overnight stay as they face the most important game of their campaign to date.

A win would leave them in a good position to reach the division two final. Their last game in the group is on Sunday week when Meath visit the Mourne county. Games between Down and Wicklow in recent times have always been very competitive and with this in mind the Down side are taking no chances for Sunday and have picked their strongest available side for duty.

After their impressive win over Kerry, the Down captain Martin Coulter is expecting his side to ‘rise to the occasion’ once again at the Arklow venue this Sunday.

Down side – Graham Clarke; L. Clarke, S. Murray, E. Dorrian; Gabriel Clarke, G. Savage, S. Wilson; A. Savage, G. Adair; G. McGrattan, P. Braniff, B. McGourty; M. Coulter (capt.), G. Johnston, Johnny McGrattan
