Preliminary Round Matches

Junior:

Ardglass v Carryduff
Saval v Aughlisnafin
Tullylish v St Michaels
Teconnaught v Shamrocks

The Junior Championship should see Ardglass the league leaders accounting for Carryduff. Aughlisnafin promoted to the intermediate league this year would be expected to beat Saval. Tullylish one of the pre-championship favourites should advance to the next round courtesy of St. Michaels. Teconnaught, beaten finalists in 2002/2003 will hope to go through against Shamrocks but this one could be close.

Intermediate:

Bright v Clonduff

Bright beaten in 2003 by a strong Downpatrick outfit will hope to advance to the semi-finals with a win over newly promoted and current junior champions Clonduff. The hilltown girls will be confident of causing an upset given their 3-08 to 2-10 win over Bright in an earlier league meeting. This game should go to the wire.

Senior:

Bosco v Bredagh
Bryansford v Annaclone

The tie of the round is the meeting of old adversaries Bosco and Bredagh. There is great competitive rivalry between these two sides and current league positions see both teams locked on equal points sharing top spot. Bosco now re-grouping under Frank McDonald will be keen to advance but Bredagh will want to get another pop at Castlewellan who beat them in the 2003 final. This game will go to down to who wants it most. Don't be surprised if it takes more than one game to separate them.

Bryansford accounted for Annaclone in a recent league meeting, but this is championship and league form goes out the window. Should be close but Annaclone to advance.
