Cumann Bunscoil an Duin: St Patrick's Mayobridge 4.13 St Patrick's Downpatrick 1.3
The Bridge seems to be a hoodoo as far as Downpatrick is concerned lately. No sooner had the Band beat the County town in the Band competitions at the Fleadh, but the school repeated the dose with the final of the Cumann Bunscoil an Duin Down Primary School League final with the ir comprehensive win over the representatives from the County town retaining the trophy which they held last year.
The county championship winning team panel was: J. Barr, M. McNamee, E. Murphy, D. Lynchehaun, B. Poland, C. Gribben, C. McNamee, C. Toner 0. 1, M. Clarke, B. Cunningham 2.6, P. Gribben 1.2, S. Annual Cumann na mBunscol Finals 25/06/2003
St Malachy's Kilcoo won the 9-a-side competition. Captain Ciaran McClean starred at midfield in the final against old adversaries Ballyholland PS, a match which flowed with excellent football skills from both teams. Second half goals from Jerome Johnston and Cillian Laverty helped St Malachy's to the league title on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-2.
In the primary schools 7-a-side final there was a win for St Joseph's PS Ballymartin over St Joseph's Killough. After an even first half feast of exciting play, a goal by Danielle Newell helped turn the game for Ballymartin who won by 4-5 to 2-7.
In the 15-a-side final, the football served up was of a high standard between Mayobridge and Downpatrick. Great defence by Mayobridge laid the foundations for a commanding 4-11 to 1-3 victory.

Clarke Leads St Louis to Treanor Cup victory 09/06/2003
Treanor Cup Final: St. Louis v La Salle Kilkeel Belfast 2 - 19 1 - 11
St. Louis, Kilkeel claimed their second BT Treanor Cup success in three years at Ballykinlar on Saturday 7th June, thanks in some measure to a great scoring achievement from their team-captain, Martin Clarke, brother of county senior star, John. The An Riocht centre-forward amassed a personal tally of 1-16 in a game against La Salle, Belfast that was closer than the final scoreline of 2-19 to 1-11 suggests.
Clarke's goal came in the opening minute of the game while the indiscipline of the La Salle defence in conceding frees provided him with a host of easy scoring opportunities which he gratefully accepted. It was an outstanding victory for the Kilkeel side, and the contribution of the talented Martin Clarke was something special!
