McLarnon Cup Quarter-final tie between St. Louis
Grammar school, Kilkeel and St. Michael's Grammar
School, Lurgan (holders) will take place in Mullaghbawn,
on Saturday 7th February, with the throw-in at
11 am.
St. Louis face a tough struggle, having to field
without their influential County Minor and Bryansford
player Joe Ireland. However, St. Louis can call
on the services of Aidan Flanagan, James Colgan,
Paul Sherry and Martin Clarke from An Riocht,
Eamon McConville from Rostrevor and Glen Burden
from Longstone, all of whom have played for Down
Minors over the past year.
The squad is also boosted by a number of players
who experienced success earlier this season when
the Kilkeel school won the BT Ulster Colleges
Herald Cup for the first time.
