Reminder that all outstanding adult Football membership and insurance must be paid at training on Wednesday 29th March.

 

The U14 footballers lost to Kilcoo under the lights at Dunavil.

 

In the Basketball NI Senior Cup Semi-final Belfast Phoenix beat the Knights 94 points to 48.

 

At the Cumann Na mBunscol Boys Indoor Gaelic Finals at Dunavil, Carrick were victorious for the fourth successive year.

 

The Senior Gaelic match Kilkerley Emmetts v An Riocht was postponed.

 

The P5/P6 South Down Gaelic Blitz was postponed.

 

On Saturday 15th April from 10am to 12pm there is a tidy up taking place at Dunavil with grass and hedges to be cut, some weeding also, a spot of painting to be done, the ball stop nets to be raised etc so if free please call out and give a hand. There will be no coaching that day.

 

The Football Committee are making up a rota for home senior matches with gate men and car park attendants, linesmen and umpires all required to cover our eleven home fixtures. If everyone volunteers once then no one will have too much to do.

 

On Saturday 8thApril there is an U12 Camogie Blitz at Dunavil, all help appreciated especially with refereeing and car parking and in the shop. Also that day two P3/P4 teams will travel to a South Down Go Games Blitz, details at practice on Saturday.

 

All Camogie membership and insurance must be paid asap, players will only be registered and insured when the fee of £10 membership and £10 insurance is received, no one can play until they are registered and insured. It costs the Club €13 to register each U18 Camog and a further £11 each to insure them.

Rule 23.3 Camogie Official Guide Part I states:

Each club must ensure and be satisfied that its playing members, members who officiate at games and members involved in managing/coaching teams are covered by insurance. Any member not insured may not play, officiate at games or manage/coach teams.

 

There is a big push on now to complete the ‘Cow Pat’ squares, anyone who can help part fill a sheet should collect one and part fill it before returning it for someone else to fully complete.

 

The U12 footballers began their league season with an entertaining 6-13 to 4-8 defeat by Mayobridge. Team: Ethan Finnegan, Daegan Cordell, Jack McDonald, Oran McAleenan, Zac Curran, Luke Quinn, Conor McConville, Darragh McAlinden, Tyler Shepcar, Cameron Gribben, Jayden White, Oisin Davies, Grazvydas Gricus. Eoin Sloan, Luke Quinn.

 

The P3/P4 footballers took full advantage of the mild weather by venturing outside for the first time this year, players should always bring trainers and boots to practice for they will be going outside as often as possible.
