Down County Board Updates 

The next County Board meeting will take place on Monday 11 September 2017, at 8pm in the Thierafurth Inn, Kilcoo. 

Big thanks to Burren who ran a LGFA U12 Blitz on Saturday 2 Sept, well done to all the girls that participated and a big thanks to Burren for hosting! See Facebook for photos! 

Special thanks to RGU Downpatrick and their members for hosting the big breakfast for the Down Ladies in aid of KBRT. Well done to Kyla and all the county girls for helping out on the morning! Great work! 

Down U13 Academy 

The U13 Academy continued on Saturday at Clonduff GAC Grounds. It was great to see 16 new faces this week, swelling the numbers attending this Academy to 64 girls from 20 clubs, which is tremendous. A big thank you to all the girls for their dedication and commitment, including those girls who had competitive camogie club championship games earlier in the day. The big numbers is serving up a very competitive and fun atmosphere at the Academy which is to the benefit of all those attending. It is great to witness the high level of skill on display from all those girls and the support from the clubs is much appreciated by the mentors JR, Kieran, Siobhan and Brian. Down U12 Academy 

Down U12 academy program will be starting Sunday September 10th. We require U12 mentors to come on board and offer their help for the 6-week program. If you can only do 2, 3, 4 or 5 weeks then super as others can fill in when you cannot make it. Please contact Sean Sherry (07740539219 ssherry@ciena.com) if interested.

Down U10 Blitz 

We are confirming that the Aug Blitz will be held on Sept 9th 9:45 12:00 at Teconnaught.

The following teams have confirmed attendance: 

Teconnaught, Bredagh, Carryduff, Dundrum, Castlewellan. 

If Sean Sherry has missed any team please let him know ASAP as we print the fixtures on Wednesday night.

This is Championship weekend for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Final, good luck to all the teams involved! The championship finals will take place on Saturday 9th September in Downpatrick at the following times:

2:30pm - Tullylish v St Johns 

4pm - Saval v Ballymartin

5:30pm - Carryduff v Bryansford
