From Rostrevor to Croke Park

On Sunday, 17th September 11-year-old Niamh Rice, daughter of John & Tracey will enjoy the chance of a life time when she will step out onto the hallowed turf of Croke Park in front of over 80,000 people. Niamh, a first year student at the Sacred Heart Grammar School and member of the St Bronagh's GAA club will represent Rostrevor and Down in the half-time exhibition go-games at the All-Ireland senior football final between Dublin and Mayo. Niamh was selected following local Cumann na mBunscol skill tests earlier this year and will now get the chance to play along with other top players from throughout the country.

St Bronagh's GAA have extended their best wishes to her ahead of her big day. “What an honour for Niamh, her family, school and club, we wish her the very best of luck and maybe some day she will be back playing in Croke park in the colours of her own Down Senior Team."
