The late PJ McElroy

Down GAA  are saddened to learn this afternoon of the death of PJ McElroy, double All Ireland Winner 1960/61.   A full tribute to PJ will follow, please see below Family Notice.

Peacefully at The Ulster Hospital, Patrick Joseph (P.J.), dearly beloved husband of the late Bridget and cherished mother of Declan, Roisin, Orla, Ciara, Patricia, Maeve, Aisling and Eoin.

P.J.'s remains will leave his home, 132 Bryansford Road, Newcastle, on Monday at 11.15am to arrive at Our Lady Of The Assumption Church Newcastle for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery Bryansford.

On his soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing , sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews and entire family circle.
