Three first-half goals were the platform for Burren's passage into the semi-final of the fonaCAB Ulster Minor Club Football Tournament at St Paul's as they got the better of Antrim champions St Brigid's on a chilly Saturday afternoon. Burren (Down) 3-12 to St Brigid's (Antrim) 0-09.
Burren's three goals all came in the first half, Joe McLoughlin give Burren the best of starts when he had the ball in the net with just 30 seconds on the clock. Their second goal arrived on 13 minutes from an Oisin McStay penalty, which McStay followed up two minutes later with his second and Burren's third goal. Dara Mussen hit over five points from play.
Burren will now take on Derry side Dungiven on the 18th December.
