Cavan and Down were paired together in this morning's Tailteann Cup quarter-final draw.
Last year's runners-up Cavan will have home advantage when the Ulster rivals face off next weekend.
The Mournemen recovered from a sluggish first half to see off Longford by eight points in Newry last Saturday evening. Danny Magill got a brilliant goal for Down who kicked on impressively after the injection of some young legs – Rory Mason and Ross Carr among them – from the bench. Three wins out of three for Cavan meant they topped Group One.
Meath will be at home to an in-form Wexford side, while Antrim will welcome Carlow to Corrigan Park.
The other quarter-final sees Limerick entertain Laois, who recorded a surprise preliminary quarter-final victory over Fermanagh on Saturday.
The CCCC will confirm fixture arrangements later today.
Tailteann Cup quarter-final draw:
Antrim v Carlow
Meath v Wexford
