A Down man has been selected on the Ireland Over 40s men’s squad for next year’s Masters International Rules Series against Australia.
Mark Stratton is on the squad for two test matches which will take place featuring both Men’s and Women’s Over 40s teams, while the Men’s Over 50’s will also be in action.
The first test will take place in Mullagh, Co Galway on March 9, with the second a week later in Denn, Co Cavan on March 16.
Anthony McCarthy (Limerick), Jimmy Galligan (Cavan) and Ronan Rocks (Derry) have named a 23-man squad with a number of former inter county stars.
This includes Derry stalwart Kevin McGuckin, Brian Connelly of Galway and Cavan's Keith Fannin.
