Down kept their 100% record in Division 3 of the Allianz FL intact this afternoon by handing neighbours Antrim a comprehensive 1-15 to 1-6 defeat at Corrigan Park.
After a shaky start, Patrick McAleer’s goal in the 11th minute had levelled things for the hosts but the Mourne men got motoring again as points via Pat Havern (2) and Liam Kerr helped send them towards a 0-7 to 1-2 lead at the interval.
The second-half saw Conor Laverty’s men dominate large portions and they capped off their third win in-a-row with a Ceilim Doherty goal in injury-time.
