Down Senior Football Team Manager Conor Laverty is delighted to be able to announce two new additions to his Management Team for the Season ahead. Former Sligo Manager Tony McEntee joins the Management, having stepped down as Sligo Manager after five years earlier in the Summer, Tony was previously part of the Mayo Team Management under Stephen Rochford and as a Club Manager guided Crossmaglen Rangers to All Ireland Senior Club Titles in 2011 and 2012. Tony along with his brother John was a member of the Armagh All Ireland Winning Team of 2002. Tony now joins, Marty Clarke, Mickey Donnelly and Declan Morgan on Conor Laverty’s Management Team.
Steve Williams joins Down as Senior Football Goalkeeping Coach, the Welshman who played for Cardiff City and Dundalk has built an excellent reputation in recent times, working at Inter County Level with Louth and Monaghan, whilst at Club Level he was Goalkeeping Coach when Watty Grahams Glen won the All Ireland Club Title.
