Mary Colgan RIP

Coiste Chontae an Dúin and the family that is Down GAA are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Colgan.

Mary Colgan of Lisnacree, Kilkeel was the mother of James Colgan, Captain of our All Ireland winning team of 2005 and current physio with the County Senior Footballers, Mary's passing comes only a few short weeks since the death of her husband Pearse and our thoughts and prayers are with the Colgan family .

Mary was a lady who back in 2005-06 ensured that the Tom Markham Cup was transported to many Club Presentations and Functions and she was a proud mum as her son James lifted the Cup on that Sunday in September 2005.

We offer our deepest sympathy to her children, Justin, Kirsty, James, Sarah, Ruth, Sophie and Ella, her grandchildren, her brothers and also to the Gaels of An Riocht on the loss of a much loved mother and grandmother. We think too at this sad time of her late husband Pearse.
