Coiste Chontae an Dúin and the family that is Down GAA are saddened to learn of the death of Liam McGreevy, a former County Coaching Officer, County Youth Officer, and Coaching Tutor.
Liam was also the manager of the Down Under 16 Team that would have played in the North- East League in the 1980s.
Liam was Head of PE in St Colman's Ballynahinch and a very proud Glasdrumman man. He had a passion and flair for Coaching and made a positive impact on the careers of many who would go on to represent Down at the highest level.
Liam had a love too for the Irish Language but above all he made a difference to the lives that he touched and we in Down GAA are a better place today for having had men like Liam McGreevy in our ranks.
We offer our sincere condolences to his sons, Neil and Colm, daughter Ciara, brothers and sisters, daughter in law, grandchildren, the entire family circle and the Gaels of Glasdrumman at this very sad time.
