MINOR FOOTBALL

AC MFL - Burren v Clonduff
Clonduff minors visited Burren on Tuesday evening and were involved in a great game of football refreshing to see at this level. The Yellas got off to a blistering start, running at pace with the ball and unsettling any Burren attacks with hard work and tackling throughout the team. But for some wayward shooting Clonduff could have been out of sight and instead found themselves 2 points adrift at half time. Not to be disheartened the lads found even more energy in the second half and took the game to Burren playing a standard of football that was first class. Some refereeing decisions didn't go our way and the game finished in a draw on a score Clonduff 1-13 Burren 3-7.
The attitude and application of the team and the feeling among players afterwards shows how far they have come to walk away from pre-season. Clonduff find themselves with 3 league games left sitting 1 point behind the league leaders.

Team and scorers: James Carvill, Conor Parr, James Keenan, Jamie O'Hagan, Dean McCabe, Lyndon brown (0-1), Laurence Brannigan, Tiernan McEvoy, Ross Carr, Tom Close (0-3), John Boden (0-6), Ben McConville (0-2), Aaron Devlin (0-1), Padraig Wilson (1-0), Eamon Brown.
