Coiste Gaeilge agus Cultuir announce Score Sinsear Dates

This year’s Scor Sinsear competitions will begin on Friday 7th February at 8:00pm In Mayobridge Youth club shall be the first of the semi-finals following with the second semi-final on Saturday 15th February in St.Patricks Primary School, Hilltown at 7:30pm. With a massive increase in participants in this year’s South Down Scor Sinsear competitions including Ceili dancing, solo singing, recitation, ballad group, stage presentation, instrumental and set dancing. It’s clear to see the dedication and commitment of the Culture Officers in the clubs and the pride competitors have in representing their club in competitions such as Scor.

The successful participants and groups will progress to the south Down final on Friday 21st February at 7:30pm with venue TBC. The south Down champions and runners up will then compete in the county final on Saturday 29th February in St. Malachy’s High school, Castlewellan at 7:30pm. The table quiz element of Scor takes place On Thursday 13th February at 7:30pm in the new Teconnaught GAA Club house when we shall see 22 teams compete in the 2020 sinsear quiz. With the level of knowledge within the division and greater entries of teams it shall be an interesting evening.
