St Eunan's, Letterkenny and St Peter's, Warrenpoint will meet in the final of the Paul McGirr Memorial Tournament at Gardrum Park, Dromore on Saturday 3rd Dec (2.00pm) following their respective semi-final victories.
Warrenpoint took their inspiration from the outstanding Kohree Hourican who played in the role of sweeper in their 1-17 to 2-12 triumph over Tyrone side Killeeshil.
The Down representatives led by 0-8 to 0-4 at half-time but it was a goal in the last quarter from Aaron McBurney that ultimately provided the impetus for the team's flourish in the closing stages that secured their place in the decider.
In the other semi-final, St Eunan's proved much too strong for O'Donovan Rossa, Magherafelt, winning by 4-13 to 1-5.
The Donegal side led by 1-5 to 1-3 at the break but two goals from their imposing full-forward Padraig McGettigan in the opening minutes of the second-half sent them well clear.
With Conor O'Donnell landing points from all angles and distances and Sean Ryan proving an effective barrier at centre-half-back, St Eunan's added a fourth goal from Michael Gallagher.
Eoin Hawe, Patrick McLernon and Cormac Murphy worked hard for O'Donovan Rossa.
