Details regarding Parking for Derry Westmeath Game

Friday 7th June 2024

On Saturday Evening 15^th June , Derry play Westmeath in Pairc Esler in Round 3 of the All Ireland Qualifiers , with a Throw In time of 7.00pm, we are encouraging patrons to come to Newry early for the game and avail of Free Car Parking in The Buttercrane Shopping Centre and in The Quays Shopping Centre Car Parks.

Both Shopping Centres can also offer Pre Match eating facilities and are only a 10 Minute Walk to the Ground.

Car Parking is Free on production of your Match Ticket or Match Programme and both Car Parks will be open post match to allow patrons exit in good time. 

Down GAA will also provide a Shuttle Bus from the KFC in Bridge Street from 5.15pm for Patrons wanting to get to the Game.

Car Parking 

The Following Car Parks in Newry are available for Patrons Free of Charge

• Newry Museum Car Park - Abbey Way Newry - 10 Minute Walk
• North Street Car Park - suitable for Derry Traffic - Comfortable 15 Minute Walk to the Ground.
• Gateway Car Park Kilmorey Street.
•  River Street Car Park. 
• Greenbank Industrial Estate - Closest to Pairc Esler but expect delays on Exit. 
•  Buttercrane Shopping Centre (Produce your Match Programme/Match Ticket on exit, and you can avail of Free Parking)

•   The Quays Shopping Centre (Produce your Match Programme/Match Ticket on exit, and you can avail of Free Parking).

We would ask Patrons to please travel early to the game and avail of hospitality available in The Buttercrane and the Quays Shopping Centres as well as in the Canal Court Hotel, all are only a 10-15 minute walk to the Ground or use the Shuttle Bus Service.

Parking Restrictions 

The following Parking Restrictions are in place:

• No Parking on the Hard Shoulder of the Dual Carriageway. 
• No Parking on Kilmorey Street/ Old Warrenpoint Road. 
•  No Parking on Chapel Hill. 
•  Restricted Parking on Chapel Street.

• We ask that you please respect local Residents and their property.

At Pairc Esler

• Turnstiles will open from 5.30pm.
• Tea/Coffee, and Shops will be available inside the Ground.
• Newry Shamrocks Social Club will be open- There will be no entry to the Social Club from Inside the Ground, Entrance is by way of the Front of the Ground Only.
• There are Baby Changing Facilities available inside the Ground.
