Bodyline Ulster Club MHC 19/12/2003
Down minor hurling champions Ballycran beat Antrim aces Dunloy in the semi-finals of the Bodyline Ulster Club MHC at Ballinascreen on Sunday by 2-10 to 1-6.
They now meet either Carrickmore or Banagher (Derry) in the final on Sunday, December 28.

Ballycran minors win 28/11/2003
Ballycran’s minor hurlers won the MHC defeating Portaferry by 4-15 to 0-5 in the final which took place at Ballygalget last weekend.

Ballycran to host finals 10/10/2003
McKenna Park, Ballycran, will host the hurling double header on Sunday. In the SHC final replay holders Portaferry and Ballygalget will do battle for the new McVeagh Cup (4pm).
Portaferry are also engaged in the IHC final against last year's JHC winners, Clonduff (2pm).

The Ballycran managers admitted after this game that they honestly expected to win this contest easily but what a fright they had!
The boys from the Ards found themselves losing at half-time (1-1 to 0-2) and in a panic situation. That was a credit to the superb and determined play by one of the newest hurling teams in County Down, and to their coaches.

Portaferry continue challenge in Antrim League 26/04/2003
Portaferry continued their challenge with a four goals success over neighbours, Ballycran - the final score was 5-9 to 1-9 in their recent Antrim Div 1 league encounter. Two goals from Paul Smith and one each from Nigel Kelly, John Convery and Paul Rogers were sufficient to give them their third success in the league. Loughgiel and Dunloy top the SHL table in full points.

Ballycran's U-14 hurlers defeated their great rivals Ballygalget by 5-14 to 1-1 in the county final. This game was played as curtain raiser to the SHC semi-final between Ballycran and Portaferry at Ballygalget on Sunday.

Ballycran champions 08/05/2003
Congratulations to Ballycran who won the Ulster Feile U-14 hurling competition on Saturday organised by the Ulster Council as part of their centenary celebrations. The competition was held at Ballinascreen, Co Derry. Ballycran came through their section undefeated against Ballinascreen, St. John's and Ballycastle before beating Lavey in the final.

Ballycran awards night 04/12/2003
There was a full house at the McKenna Community Centre, Ballycran, on Friday night for the club's annual awards.
County hurler Simon Wilson w
on the senior player and players' player awards.
Other winners were: intermediate player, Phelim Brennan; junior player, Stephen Keith; young player, Andrew Bell; clubman Terry Bell; Hall of Fame, Hugo O'Prey. Denise Caldwell won the senior camogie player award, Amanda Coulter was the top junior camogie player and the camogie club personality award went to Orla McCarthy.
