Castlewellan tumbled from the top of the SFL table
Last week Castlewellen were tumbled from the top of Div 1 table when they lost two matches in the space of six days to Kilcoo and Bryansford. Stephen Kearney was the hero for Bryansford scoring 1-6, while Fermanagh import Shane King and Brian Burns were also to the fore. Mayobridge made the most of Castlewellan's slip-up by winning their two matches and taking a five point lead at the top of the table. One of those victories came against Kilcoo. There are five more rounds to go in the league, and then the top four teams will go into semi-finals. Bryansford and Burren are the other two teams in the top four, level on 18 points each and four points behind Castlewellan.

This Friday will see top of the table Castlewellan travel to Annaclone for their Div 1 game. Annaclone under the guideness of Castlewellan man Liam Hardy.
"I'm a Castlewellan man myself, and I have a lot of respect for their style of football. I looked after the seconds and the seniors for a while, and I still know everyone down there, so I am looking forward to it, it will be an emotional night. "But we will be going out to get a result, the players will be approaching it as an ordinary game," Hardy added. "I watched Castlewellan beat Mayobridge and I was very impressed. There will be more spice to the game now that both ourselves and Castlewellan lost last weekend. "You have to pick up points at the start of the season, when nobody is in outstanding form - already at this stage no team is unbeaten."
