Tullylish lose out to Glasdrumman
ACFL Div 2: Glasdrumman 1-10 Tullylish 1-08

Friday night saw the visit of Tullylish to the Quarter Road in search of points to take them out of the automatic relegation zone and they came up against a Glasdrumman side looking for their second win in four days. Tullylish were first to score with a point from M McCartan but their lead was short lived as Shane Feeney and Mark Trimble scored points apiece.

Tullylish levelled the game in the eleventh minute through Peter Quinn but Raymond Magorrian restored the Glasdrumman lead a minute later. Peter Quinn levelled the game a minute later quickly followed by a point from his partner at midfield Davy Corbett. Raymond Magorrian and Gary Chambers exchanged points to leave the half time score Glasdrumman 0-4 Tullylish 0-5. Raymond Magorrian opened the scoring in the first minute of the second half before Barry Priestly scored from a forty five. Raymond Magorrian levelled the game again three minutes later with his fourth point of the game and then disaster struck.

A high dropping ball was punched to the net by the Tullylish full forward. The goal seemed to give an added impetus to Glasdrumman and they hit back with points from Raymond Magorrian and Pat Mallon. Tullylish hit back with a point from Chris McGovern but within two minutes Glasdrumman were level with a point each from Raymond Clarke and substitute Cormac Murphy. Peter Quinn added another to his personal tally for Tullylish in the twenty third minute but two minutes later Glasdrumman were awarded a penalty. Up steeped the ever cool Cormac Murphy to slot the ball past Mark McEvoy to give Glasdrumman the lead at a crucial time in the game. The same player made the game secure two minutes later with his second point and there was much jubiliation among both players and supporters when the referee blew the final whistle as they celebrated two hard earned points.
