have been called into
training with the
Ireland squad for
the Compromise Rules
games in Australia
next month. Dan Gordon
(Loughinisland), Aidan
Carr (Clonduff) and
Benny Coulter (Mayobridge)
have all been attending
Irish Training over
the last number of
weeks. At present
their is 48 players
in the squad which
will be cut to around
a travelling party
of about 30 later
this month. Coulter
played in the last
series of games in
Perth and Melbourne
in 2005. |

goal was the crucial
score, although

lead.
The sides were
level on three
occasions in the
third quarter.
Kildare then
took the lead
for the first
time since the
seventh minute
thanks to a point
from Joe Cocoman
and they held
momentum until
the end.

corner-forward
John Clarke netted
twice in the second
half.
Limerick ended
with 14 men as
Thomas Cahill
was shown a straight
red card following

Lynch.
"The penalty
gave us a bit
of breathing space
and we went on
to play some good
football,"
said Down manager

"A lot was
made of our defeat
last Sunday and
we were more disappointed
