University to honour two Down men with Half Blues 21/05/2003
Queens Univeristy Belfast will acknowledge John Clarke (An Riocht) and Dan McCartan (Burren) with Half Blues at the Universities Annual Blues Dinner in June. Armagh's Patrick McKeever and Kevin McElvanna will both receive Full Blue Awards. McKeever and McElvanna who both won All Ireland medals with Armagh last September will join the likes of Tom Brewster, Diarmaid Marsden, Cormac McAnallen, Anthony Tohill, James McCartan and Kirean McGeeney in receiving the Universities top sports award.
Clarke and McCartan will receive their Half Blues along with Martin McGrath (Fermanagh), Colm Brady (Antrim), Conall Dunne (Donegal) William McSorley (Armagh) Kevin McGourty (Antrim) Dick Clerkin (Monaghan) Sean Kelly (Antrim)
